Harvest & Hearth: Wood Fired Artisan Pizza offers Gluten Free Options

Harvest & Hearth is located on Rte. 67 in Saratoga Springs, NY right next to the Kayak Shack and the Skidmore Boat House. You must try this little gem of a place if you are Gluten Free. Not only do they make their pizza crust themselves, they also use organic and local ingredients whenever possible. The atmosphere is cozy and rustic, and a great place for groups and families.

I've tried most of the gluten free varieties of pizza and my favorite, hands down, is the pepperoni. It's made with nitrate free pepperoni, homemade organic tomato sauce, all natural whole milk mozzarella, cheese and fresh organic herbs. It is delicious!

The only problem I have with all the gluten free pizza's are the size. They are quite small and the crust is very thin. After the first time I ate there I learned very quickly that one gluten free pizza was not enough to fill me up. I usually order one of their salads to start with. All their salads are so fresh and their salad dressings are superb.

I encourage you to visit Harvest & Hearth and try their delicious gluten free pizzas and salads. It is a little more on the pricey side, but if you are looking for a little treat, it's well worth it! Bon Appetite!

Harvest & Hearth is not a certified gluten free restaurant. They do cook their gluten free pizzas in the same wood fired oven as their regular varieties. Please call ahead for questions about food contamination before going. They do also make vegan and vegetarian pizzas.
